 North Adams Open Studios is a city wide event that showcases the studios and work of area artists. This is a non juried event and you do not need to have a studio to participate. In addition to artists showing in their studios, there will be artists “out side” their studios showing at the NoAMA Mill at 234 Union St. (across the street from the Eclipse Mill).

SHOW DATES: October 16 and 17, 2010, Saturday and Sunday, 10am to 6pm
OPENING RECEPTION: Friday the 15 of October at 7:00pm At MASS MoCA

All registered artists are encouraged to attend and invited to bring a guest.
 
ARTIST REGISTRATION FEE: $35 if you register and pay by June 30; $45 after June 30.

OUTSIDE YOUR STUDIO: Limited spaces are available for artists “out side their studios” at the NoAMA Mill. Each booth includes 6' tall rear hanging fabric walls and 4’ X 8’ plywood side walls:
  • 8’ X 10’ = $25 + registration fee
  • 8’ X 20’ = $45 + registration fee
  • 8’ X 30’ = $65 + registration fee
 
Final registration deadline is August 31. All fees are non-refundable.
BENEFITS: The registration fee goes towards making this event happen, including marketing and location preparations. North Adams Open Studios will be promoted through regional media, including tourism websites, cultural and arts magazine and review websites, news websites, newspaper and magazine print ads, and tourism display racks.
Registered artists will get the following specific benefits:      
·        Name placed on the event map, both online and the printed maps distributed during event.
·        Opportunity to place images, artist statement, and biography, as well as a link to your own website, on your own sub-page at the North Adams Open Studio web site. Your images and information will remain on the site from registration 2010 through March 15, 2011. You will also be able to create a username and password so that you may return later and edit your page and even add/remove images at will.
·        Each artist and guest gets an invitation to the kick off gala event to be held on Friday Oct 15 at Mass MoCA.
·        Post cards for distribution to your clients, friends, and family.
·        Other marketing opportunities throughout the summer and early autumn, including the potential for interviews if selected as a featured artist, inclusion in press releases, advertising, etc.
 
 
NOTE TO ARTISTS IN GALLERIES: We encourage artists who are showing in local participating galleries to consider also registering with North Adams Open Studios as an individual artist. Any artist appearing in a North Adams gallery who has not individually registered will not have their names on the map the day of the event.
