North Adams Regional Hospital Community Artwork Project
- Artist Statement:
- This exhibit marks the 10th anniversary of the Community Artwork Project at North Adams Regional Hospital. It is the hospital's desire to complement the healing process with artwork. Throughout the 10 year history of the Community Artwork Project, local artists have loaned their work for the twice-annual shows. This project brings artwork into the hallways and waiting areas of the hospital, enhancing the environment for patients and their families and friends, hospital staff, and the community. Everyone is always welcome to visit the hospital's art exhibits.

- Biography:
- Twenty-three artists are exhibiting 243 works of art at North Adams Regional Hospital. Come to the hospital for guided tours of the exhibit, refreshments and plenty of parking. The free trolley will drop-off and pick-up visitors at the hospital's main entrance.
The current exhibition includes oil paintings, watercolors, charcoal drawings, photographs, monotypes, pastels, papercut collage, and a variety of mixed media works. All of the artwork is for sale.
Who are the artists? Most of the artists in this show are from North Adams and Williamstown; others are from nearby towns, and two are from Connecticut. They’re all active in the arts – many of them teach art - at public and private schools and colleges, art organizations, or in their own studios. Several of the artists participating in this exhibit show their work in art galleries and exhibitions in New England and other parts of the country.
North Adams artist Sharon Carson is the curator for the hospital exhibits.
