Artist Statement:
Stephen Donaldson is a freelance photographer in Berkshire County.
Biography:
Steve Donaldson spent his early years in England. After graduating from Ohio Wesleyan University, he worked on Wall Street and in the electronics industry for thirteen years. After a 1993 trip to Yosemite National Park, he "threw it all away" to pursue his dream of photo-documenting a trip around the world. From 1995 to 1997 he visited forty-two countries, a 100,000 mile journey that launched a freelance career in photography. He continues to travel extensively, compiling stock images of the world's far reaches. He lives and maintains a studio in Great Barrington, Massachusetts, where he also works a variety of commercial assignments.
